The Suwannee River Water Management District (SRWMD) is a regional government agency responsible for protecting and managing water resources in north-central Florida. The mission of the District's Water Resources Monitoring program is to provide quality-assuredwater data for use in research, planning, public safety, recreation, and education. SRWMD operates an extensive in-house hydrologic monitoring network including 207 groundwater wells with over 180 of them on a real-time basis, 46 surface water locations of which at least 10 are springs, 42 rain gages, and over 970 water-use locations.

Principal aquifers monitored are: The unconfined surficial aquifer system, The intermediate aquifer system/intermediate confining unit , and the Floridan aquifer system

Current NGWMN Projects

2019: 7/15/2019 to 7/14/2021

Project is to become a new data provider of water-level data for the NGWMN. The project will establish the SRWDM as a NGWMN data provider and provide one year of persistent data service.

2022: 7/15/2022 to 7/14/2024

Project is to provide persistent data services for two years under Objective 2A.
